Because the only reason to bsn TikTok are racist reasons. Their practices have been examined closely and found to be less invasive than they rest. And Facebook, they're horrible.
The reasons usually given are mumbled generalities but refer to China getting access to American citizen data.
"China" seems to be the common theme.
The very data for sale on the open market. It's all bullshit.
I'm not defending TikTok and certainly not Chinese govt practices. They do evil. But no evidence of it in this instance.
Is it also racist that China has banned Facebook and many other US based services?
It's weird to think that you would support banning TikTok because of the influence China might have on US Culture, but are totally cool with the fact that Facebook is a tool of cultural export across the whole globe. I don't remember the last time TikTok was the instrument of genocide, but hey, if you want to support that, go for it.
That would be weird yes, luckily my opinions differ from the ones you're projecting onto me
