There actually is. You can either spray the inside and cut surfaces with hairspray, or smear them with Vaseline. That will seal it from the atmosphere and it should last a lot longer.
Hairspray seems kinda flammable... But you sound knowledgeable enough 🤣
Yeah it’s best if you spray it on well in advance of lighting the candle…

I actually didn't know if it was or not. I did some research and apparently it's not. "Vaseline is not very flammable. Though it is made from petroleum (which can be very flammable) it will not ignite easily in most situations.".

You can also spray the inside with a vinegar solution
I know a family who has a pumpkin festival at their house every Halloween. They do hairspray.
