The longest-serving state senator in North Dakota history has been indicted on federal charges related to child pornography.

Ray Holmberg, a Republican who resigned last spring, was charged in an indictment unsealed Monday with travel with the intent to engage in illicit sexual activity and receipt of child pornography after investigators showed he traded scores of text messages with a convicted sex offender, reported KFGO-TV.

I keep saying this, but the Gaetz thing is over with zero chance of nailing him. He's my Congressman, so I've had a close eye on this. I mean, fuck me, we could hardly get a worse rep if he had gone to prison.

His convicted buddy that was expected to flip on him? Didn't.

The 17-yo in question? Not only refused to testify, but opened an OnlyFans site which prosecutors felt would destroy her credibility on the stand.

Not sure if anyone else noticed, but he was real quiet for a bit and then came blustering back full force. Now you know why.

Maybe the current (past) Gaetz thing, but people that behave this way, don't usually stop.

Maybe it'll take another decade for something to surface that sticks, and I bet he's being watched closer now. I don't think he's smart enough to say shit, I can't keep doing things line this, and stay clean the rest of his life. That would take actual self reflection and remorse, which he lacks. If anything, he'll feel untouchable now instead and feel empowered to try again or continue.

That’s all quite unfortunate. We’ll just have to keep paying attention. He’s bound to fuck up again.

I wonder how much a PI would cost, and how quickly a GoFundMe would get funded.

My guess is they are holding the kompromat on him so he plays along
