No but the celebration of Hamas here is embarrassing. Most of the world knows of the reality in the ground. Lemmy is not typical of most views.
No one is celebrating Hamas. In a just world they wouldn’t exist because Israel would welcome Palestinians as Semitic brothers and they would live and work together. Lemmy may not hold the same views of society, but increasingly the world is seeing the truth. Join us November 4 at the National March on Washington to Free Palestine.
It's possible to denounce both Israeli leadership and Hamas. Killing civilians is bad, and the people doing it are murderers. This is not a controversial take, and it's weird that it doesn't seem to have occurred to many people. Terrorist attacks are bad, and so are retaliatory escalations to genocide.
