Highlights: Dr. Bernice King is no stranger to watching people on social media use her father’s legacy to score a point. But this time, she’d clearly had enough of it.

On Wednesday, the daughter of the late-civil rights icon, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. called out comedian Amy Schumer for implying that he would have supported Israel’s actions in the Gaza Strip.

Why is Amy Schumer so involved in all of this? As far as I can tell she has no horse in this race and so shouldn’t be speaking about it

She's Jewish and (unfortunately) famous, so she feels like she needs to have a say.

She made a post on Twitter, which millions of people do every day. She wasn't standing on a soap box in the Town Square. This headline is a major exaggeration of what she said, even.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion. All this discussion about her's is just a chance to start up the Amy Schumer hate train again.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.
