As much as I agree with the article, he def is born and raised in the US, the writer does not mention he asked the Italian Basketball Association President Petrucci (not just anybody) help to get Italian passports and to come to Italy with his family, then he did not even inform him he decided to play for the US before telling the media.
In the end, he wanted to play in a world cup or olimpycs but he didn't think he was good enough to play for team usa, so he left the Italian door open, then, when he realized how good he is, he chose US.
So cut the shit short Paolo, don't talk about pictures in the basement, nobody's gonna believe you: you just picked the most successful team, à la KD 2017.
