Think that was Jefferson. Supposedly he was big into studying religions, and I seem to remember the first Muslim in Congress being sworn in on the same Quran.

Apparently the Jefferson Qu'ran thing came later and he was sworn in using a "regular" Qu'ran.

Apparently he created an edit of the bible that took out all the miracles and just focused on the stuff that could be applied to secular thought.
