Far too many people are using confession bear to gather sympathy for non-confessions

I remember when someone confessed to a murder with one, and after that couldn't be topped it started to fade away
Yea I remember that. His sisters drug addicted boyfriend if my memory serves. He said he laced it and the cops ruled it an overdoes. Not sure it was ever verified but there was definately backlash
