On the other hand if you (the general you) help create a community pantry or kitchen or garden, communal child care or youth club, even social activities like a book or movie club, where the local people not only get to know and support each other in mutually beneficial ways but build a stronger community, and you show them that a better way (cooperation rather than brutal existential competition) exists, you're not only providing very real much needed relief, but also motivation, and most importantly - the extra little bit of free time and brain space (which is normally taken up by survival related stress) that it takes to get people to join a cause (one which they will see much more value in if they've already benefited from it).
Which is one of the reasons we're all being worked to the bone in the first place despite there being enough technology (and actually enough people) for us to be able not to - because the more free time we have to actually see clearly and focus and what's best for us, the less likely we are to continue to blindly follow the rules we've been set that only benefit a small few others (see covid and the impact it's had on people's outlook on work-life balance, not to mention the absurdity of "realities" like commuting for 3 hours to sit in an office for 8 hours to do a job you could complete at home in 2).

Being in a fatigued situation, maybe a good use of your time could be to try to figure out and unlearn all of the lies we've been socialised from birth to accept as reality - freeing your mind is the first step to freeing the rest (of you, and if you then get a second wind, your local part of society).
