Microsoft had a partnership with OpenAI.
Now, Microsoft hired one of the core people who created OpenAI.
Isn't he only a CEO? What exactly did he himself create?
He's apparently been integral to the growth of OpenAI, I've heard he personally interviewed the majority of folks currently in the company.
Ugh anyone who has ever had to deal with a CEO knows that isnt even a good thing by default.
They still say they’re committed to the Open AI partnership in the article.
In practice I wonder if they’ll quietly withdraw in the next couple years as sama and co rebuild within Microsoft itself.
That’s pretty much exactly what I expect MS to do here.
