Inspired by a haiku poem by Kawabata Bosha (1900-1941): "In the thick of the leaves / the eyes of a black cat / ominous flashes of gold"
I'm impressed you could fit such a tall image in a post. It must be from a wall hanging or Shoji screen?
It’s actually a fairly small print, just 13” tall. The small size adds to the feeling of a cat in hiding.
