It's not just availability of guns, it's a violent settler imperialist state and that does have an impact on the country's psyche. It was founded on violence and it will most likely end in violence.

literally canada and autralia, same history, same violence, same genocides (literally to the same people in some cases) and they dont have this problem. dont go around saying nonsense.

As a Canadian there's some merit to what they're saying, IMO. Settler-colonialism and imperialism does inherently have a deep impact on a country's psyche, and the mentality that comes out of it definitely plays a large role in ensuring the masses remain deeply and even irreconcilably divided, so long as the settler-state persists (and often well after as seen with South Africa).

The violence that happens here might be less explosive- and even less rampant, due to not being quite on the same level of hellhole as the US- but it manifests itself all the same.

cool but nothing u said has anything to do with this, while im sure the "settler colonial mindset" has some effect on something, Canada and Australia have the same mindset but they dont have the same problem clearly it is not the deciding factor as the original person said.

New Zealand shooter, incel Canadian van driver.

Edit: Ariana grande concert in the UK. Literal result of imperialism. I can keep adding more.

Sure there's instances but not on the same level as the US.

This might be a valid argument. Please do note that I said, it's not JUST the availability of guns. It could also be argued that because America is the most imperialist currently, that it has more instances.

To be completely dismissive of justifying violence as a solution for problems abroad and it not having an impact here is wrong.
