what part of either of those games is like the other? even the predatory business models are completely different.

the game generally is filled with a bunch of content that essentially sims things out that happens irl, many times unrelated to what the game seems on the front. Sims has a large female audience, while GTA has a large male audience. its just the part of life they choose to simulate tends to be different, (sims focuses more on social interaction and building, gta focuses on jobs and activities, many involving vehicles, which can be a version of a simulation game itself.)

because of the differences, it attracts the different gender audience more than the other

GTA Online has lots of cars and cosmetic stuff you can buy, that's kind of similar shrug-outta-hecks
