I'm currently on my honour run and much to my dismay I can't stop role playing. I'm playing a Githyanki monk. So far I've staked Astarion, dismissed Gale and refused all Illithid powers. All because it made sense for my character. And apart from Astarion these are things that can be quite useful with the increased difficulty.

I'm curious how this will influence my choice of companions down the line. I've never taken the later ones with me. At least not for an extended period.

I'm probably not alone with this "problem", right?

Honor Mode while much harder than Tactician isn't actually hard for most CRPG veterans.

I love it. It's almost a Hard Mode. And the Legendary Actions actually add a verisimilitude of difficulty to boss fights. The Game is intended to be role played and gives items to simulate compensation of the loss of companions.

Gaining Minty with a full party is supposed to take work.

If you've staked Astarion though you have killed your most powerful companion based on starting stats.
