This is right up there with those shitty Trump memes where they shop out his turkey neck and paste his body on Schwarzenegger

[-] MotoAsh@lemmy.world 36 points 11 months ago

You're right, they are both pretty hilarious. If only Biden were literally selling his as an NFT like Trump has.

Corn pop was a bad dude!

[-] Gradually_Adjusting@lemmy.world 20 points 11 months ago

It's not so funny when they do it, simply because they aren't joking

[-] DragonTypeWyvern@literature.cafe 7 points 11 months ago

Yeah you need an extra level of irony to make it funny.

They do it to meme.

We do it to mock their meme.

[-] Gradually_Adjusting@lemmy.world 7 points 11 months ago

For them it's a form of fascistic kayfabe.

[-] Kusimulkku@lemm.ee 4 points 11 months ago

It feels like these are just so forced just in reply to those Trump memes. Biden is just too bland and bleh for these to be funny.

[-] Gradually_Adjusting@lemmy.world 4 points 11 months ago

The fact that he's an uninspiring and largely disappointing president is what makes dark Brandon funny. If we wanted to laugh about a president who really does act like a demonic entity, we'd just vote for the other guy.

[-] Kusimulkku@lemm.ee 0 points 11 months ago

To me it just feels forced, which totally ruins it. I've seen similar memes about turbo boring politicians and that's funny, but I guess with Trump being a legit case of this sorta nonsense makes it feel different.

[-] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world -3 points 11 months ago

I know, it should be Bernie Sanders.

Because America will totally vote in a self-described socialist.

[-] Cowbee@lemm.ee 5 points 11 months ago

Unironically yes, increasingly. I know Lemmy is very leftist, and thus doesn't reflect America in general, but the more time goes on the more left each generation becomes, and Gen Z is by far the most leftist generation in America currently. Gen Alpha will have to wait and see, but for now America is more likely than ever before to vote for Bernie.

[-] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 2 points 11 months ago

America has had socialism = satan slammed down their throats for over a hundred years now, it's not going to change any time soon.

[-] set_secret@lemmy.world 2 points 11 months ago

But could they just not think?

[-] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 3 points 11 months ago

They've proven over many years that not thinking is the default state.

[-] Cowbee@lemm.ee 2 points 11 months ago

Those people are dying out, which is more to my point.

[-] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 1 points 11 months ago

Quite a few people in your country think Biden is a radical leftist, you’re dreaming.

[-] Cowbee@lemm.ee 2 points 11 months ago

Increasingly fewer people do.

[-] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 1 points 11 months ago

Trump got more votes in 2020 then 2016, so what were you saying?

[-] Cowbee@lemm.ee 2 points 11 months ago

That's blatantly bad-faith, Biden got more votes in 2020 than Hillary did as well. Voter participation was far higher.

[-] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 1 points 11 months ago

Hillary didn't run in 2020.

You're telling me voter attitude is changing, I'm showing you the concrete proof it isn't.

Back up your feelings with some facts.

[-] Cowbee@lemm.ee 3 points 11 months ago

I didn't say she did. Biden got more votes in 2020 than Hillary did in 2016, because voter turnout was far larger in 2020. Increasingly, Gen Z is more okay with Socialism and actually prefers it over Capitalism, something unthinkable for Boomers and Gen X.

[-] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 0 points 11 months ago

Those aren't facts.

Facts are that Trump got 10 million more votes in 2020 then 2016 which disproves what are you arguing.

[-] Cowbee@lemm.ee 3 points 11 months ago

They are facts. And, facts are additionally that more people voted in 2020 than 2016, and Trump lost both the popular and electoral vote in 2020.

Are you a bot?

[-] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world -1 points 11 months ago

Trump did lose but he had the strongest support he ever has.

Interesting question about me being a bot. Are you?

Is that why you keep doubling down on your narrative without adding anything to the conversation?

[-] Cowbee@lemm.ee 2 points 11 months ago

Yep, and his support is and always has been a minority.

[-] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 0 points 11 months ago

More than Bernie Sanders though.

[-] Cowbee@lemm.ee 1 points 11 months ago

It's 2023 and trends have trajectories. This may be difficult to understand.

[-] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 0 points 11 months ago

I guess.

One day the Canucks are going to win the Stanley Cup too.
