What's with this title? Seems out of the left field.

I've been working in the Middle East for over a decade and honestly that's a sentiment lots of folks over here hold as well in relation to what's happening in Gaza. Lots of Arabs see it as their responsibility to do something about the genocide, and for their part lots of folks are participating in boycotts (they also hate that their governments don't do anything about it, but many believe their governments have their hands tied).

I understand the sentiment but as a website that hosts users primarily not from the Arab countries it seems odd to decry the lack of unanimity in opposing Israel from the whole of the Arab world. It just seems islamophobic. Especially if you consider how hyperbolic the title is there are some Arab nations working against the Israeli genocide.

Criticizing the boot licking stance of Arab governments who did nothing to help Palestinians for years and went having US bases in the Gulf regions shows they are spineless. Houthis are fighting but alone they can't stop the genocide. For years Saudis and Qataris backed terrorists to murder Assad and then only after Chinese intervention they admitted him to Arab League. Criticizing the monarchies who didn't do anything besides giving ethical statements, even so Saudis said they condemn the Hamas attacks , criticizing the bootlicking Arab governments is not Islamophobia

It could be done in a non-islamophobic way but from your previous accounts you have argued that Arab nations are culturally incapable of being LGBT friendly citing quotes from the Quran so you doing this with an islamophobic agenda in mind is definitely something to consider.

You have no credible arguments besides extrapolation some interaction with other users and then blame it on me. Lol ๐Ÿ˜‚ , Is China islamophobic when it criticizes the Saudi Salafist teachings? Are Iranians islamophobic when women go on streets against Hijab law and morality police? You have a banal viewpoint of the human world. Relax you are no guardian of the arabic world .

Is it Islamophobic? The Arab world is carved into various states and statelets with little basis, geographic, cultural, or otherwise for their borders; many of them reactionary (or less reactionary, but no less compromised) monarchies, and its most populous country (Egypt) is governed by a western-backed military junta. The last of the pan-Arab secularist states to survive genocidal western crusading- Syria- remains illegally occupied and continually under siege, with the energy-rich and agriculturally-productive regions of the country intentionally controlled as a means to starve them out.

It's no wonder that there can be no unanimity in the region as things are. Many of the current Arab governments have much to answer for, though it is not the Arab peoples' fault. At least there seems to be hope for things going forward..

I guess when King Faisal of KSA blockaded the oil to US so that Palestine could survive CIA murdered him in cold blood. Thats only time KSA had some balls against Israel.

This is something I've also heard from my Middle Eastern friend, they're deeply cynical about governments actually doing anything.

Ah, fair enough; I assumed the OP was from the Middle East (going by their username), otherwise it does seem a bit suspect.

A community for everything related to Palestine and the occupation currently underway by the occupying force known as Israel.

Anti-Zionism is not anti-Semitism. Existence is resistance for Palestinians.

Please refer to Israel as Occupied Palestine, or occupied territories. The IDF is a fascist and ethnonationalist occupying force. Israelis are settlers. We understand however that the imperial narrative (which tries to legitimise Israel) is internalised in the imperial core and slip-ups are naturally expected.

We always take the sides of Palestine and Palestinians and are unapologetic about it. Israel is an occupying power whose "defence force"'s (note the contradiction) sole purpose for existing is to push Palestinians out so they can resettle their rightful land. If you have anything positive to say about Israel we do not care.
