Reminder! This is the last official chapter of One Piece for 2023 because of holiday breaks etc so we'll be posting the discussion threads following the TCB releases going forward, which means possibly one more chapter, cuz otherwise we'd be waiting until mid-January and I need my damn fix.
The sequence of panels of Kuma running will be forever etched into my mind. One Piece is at its best when it utilizes the decades of narrative material to its fullest effect, it re-contextualizes all of Kuma's moments perfectly.
It's probably the most effect use of montage I've seen in a manga, really beautiful. And then next page with Vegapunk in tears... :(
