I'd understand if the account was from Kbin or Mastodon, but the account is from lemmy and adds literally nothing to the conversation.

In this case, I'd guess the school board.
I don't think a school board has control of personnel matters like sick leave policy. Where I'm from, this is set by state legislature.
I don't know your state, but I bet the legislature sets the minimum and the school board sets the actual number and the related policies.
