In hindsight it's pretty wild that one of the largest game franchises out there started with a game where you literally played a Muslim terrorist.
None of the random americans that were the target audience could figure out what assassins creed was actually about so it skated by

There's a couple of clever clues you see. You may notice that Islam uses a crescent moon as their symbol. As a white guy from Mississippi, I have cunningly figured out that this represents the moon. Which means that they worship the moon, just like us X-tians worship the cross.
Liberals will try to convince you that Muslims summoning the moon to crush us all in a big ritual is of no concern
turns out Nintendo did depict Muhammad one time and no one really noticed because they were too busy arguing that OoT was still better
