The scaling is fine if you understand how the leveling system works. The leveling system does suck though, and it's removal in skyrim is a big improvement. It's very tedious to manage your leveling to make sure you use enough minor skills per level.
I disagree, the scaling isn't fine, it's actually awful. Morrowind let you scale exponentially so the enemies can't keep you. Skyrim has the drauger training but they eventually stop so you can push through to become more powerful. Oblivion though let's enemies get more health always and eventually it hurts you to level up.
You're allowed to disagree with me here and I respect that. I just don't really enjoy how Oblivion starts balanced ish, you create a spell and are a god, and slowly that spell isn't enough anymore because you jumped around too much.
