I’m sure the terrorists were US-backed and the subsequent genocide narrative is also US-backed. This whole thing reeks of color revolution malarkey.

Some ~~CIA~~FBI whistleblower wrote a long time back (way before Uyghur genocide was the flavour of the month) that radicalised men from Xinjiang were joining terrorist outfits in Central Asia and Middle East.
