Im an american, there is no culture, this country took everyone who came from europe and put them theough the cjeese grater and the wringer, the melting pot only melted everything that gave us a connected identity and strained it out. Theres no other way to desribe the mayo devils from the americas, besides maybe settler. Take awY the racism and there's nothing else. The only whites rhat have culture are ones in proxmitiy to people of color, and its all stolen

Uhg, I feel this and it legit hurts - I wish I had a connection to a culture. Any local European cultural festivals where I live are all so contrived and hollowed out by commercial interests, pride just an advertising fest. We've had some art related events that started off pretty cool, like it could have developed new culture. But every year it just turns more and more hyper religious and commercial.

I try to reframe things and just enjoy this stuff, but it's still a shit sandwich.
