Anyone else know about the PhilippinesBad subreddit?

Self-hating your own nationality, countrymen, culture is not a good thing.

Isn't that what 60% of r/PH is about anyway? Only in da pelepens lang daw nagiiwan ng pinagkainan, nagcocounterflow, nag-aanak at nangungutang, bumibili ng iPhone for da clout, bumoboto ng hindi abogado, sumisingit sa pila, hindi nagsosoli ng wristbands sa concert, ginagawang palusot mental illness para umabsent, and so on.

I guess that sub revels in the self-hating whilst r/PH still thinks it's superior to FB?

It's superior to fb (o anumang social media platform)

My ass.

Yung nakakalulungkot tungkol sa r/PH o anumang mga PH subreddit ay naging lugar kung saan mag-ka karma farm ka.

Lumalalaki ng subreddit = bumababa yung content quality nia (even well-moderated ones)

I've seen it, it actually does the opposite where they excuse every bad thing that happens here for whatever reason. Frankly, I think that's worse and it worries me that there's a trend of people having misplaced nationalism. I'm okay with people pointing out if something wrong is happening, even when it's exaggerated at times because at it's core, things could be better.

Mabuhay at maligayang pag-alis sa Lemmy! ✈️

An abandoned community for the Philippines and all things Filipino! 🇵🇭

Started out as a Reddit alternative during the blackout from Jun 12-21, 2023 with over 1k members in just a few days. Fizzled faster than the "I Didn't Do It" kid after a month until it became the internet's Centralia in less than a year.
