The lightning damage nerf ruined it for me, one of the first base game patches.
Bro in Christ go dark. Climax can be spiced down to a regular dumbo knight int / fth stats and oneshots most of the things. Pay up 5k and it's a nuclear missile
I've done that lots of times, but STR/FTH was the most fun for me in the early days. Also greatsword golf swings, which they also nerfed 😭
Yeah, greatswords are always a blast, shame they got nerfed. Faith has never been as useful as in DS1
