Agreed. Stupid laws hurt everyone (except the corrupt state).

Edit: I see from the downvotes that there are some fans of authoritarian states telling people what mostly harmless things they put into their bodies.

Could someone enlighten me, please? What harm could that German have done with a personal stash of edibles that exceeds the harm the state is now doing to them as punishment?

The down votes are because only a moron would take an illegal item into an authoritarian state. The downvotes have nothing to do with the actual item but it’s illegality in an authoritarian state.

Fair enough. Guess I was just feeling combative after seeing a few especially bad Hexbear posts, and replied without thinking.

Is that what's giving him the shakes?

There is a difference between "this law is stupid, we should get rid of it" and "this law is stupid. Therefore, I will just ignore this"

Would I be happy if I could travel to other countries with a few spliffs in my purse? Absolutely!

But I still check every single pocket thrice before I leave the country.

True, pragmatism trumps idealism. I'm just so tired of having to be pragmatic in a world where the worst of us (politicians and corporations) get to follow their ideals.
