With all due respect, the provided description feels a bit misleading

Morgellons is the informal name of a self-diagnosed, scientifically unsubstantiated skin condition ... the general medical consensus is that it is a form of delusional parasitosis, on the psychiatric spectrum

The woman who named the "condition" was not a doctor and every study since done since she first claimed its existence 22 years ago has concluded it's purely psychological.
