Swarms of AI "killer robots" are the future of war: If that sounds scary, it should::Commentary: Are we sure AI-guided weapons systems will obey human commands?

Sure, but what kind of range do you get with tiny drones? Although they could probably be delivered to the vicinity by some other vessel. Like cluster warheads but with a large swarm of exploding autonomous drones.

Quite a bit more than you would think. Remember, besides the potential for a drone carrier, these drones wouldn't need power for the flight back.

A non-rechargable battery can also have significantly more capacity. A suicide drone likely doesn't need to be recharged.
