I mean he started with x.com and so it seems fitting that he might also end his career with it.

When reading the Wikipedia article of X.com it really seems like this has been some sort of nostalgic obsession of his for years.

Hopefully he'll succeed in completely killing off Twitter, the only thing it has going for it at this point is name recognition anyway. In an ideal world it would be good news for Mastodon, Firefish et al. In this world it's probably just great news for Bluesky and Threads.
