What does blocking on kbin actually do? I’m asking because it seems incomplete, to put it mildly. If you block someone, they can still see what you post and reply to you and you’re still sent notifications of their replies, even though you can’t see the comment itself (or any replies other people make to comments of an account you blocked). Plus, I blocked someone who was spent the last day downvoting literally every comment and post I make, and they’re still able to see and downvote my replies and posts. So what exactly is the point of blocking, if it doesn’t actually block people? Is this something that’s going to be fixed in the future?

EDIT: Oh, hey, the irony, the person I blocked was able to see and downvote this post. Which just proves my point, I suppose - block is either busted or what it actually is for needs a lot of clarification.

Damn, they really don't like you. Have an upvote as fucktard insurance.

The absolutely wild thing is, I literally have only replied to them once, the first time, when I requested they not be a dick to someone. Oh boy, did they take it personally.

I've got a couple like that, especially after I ended up kicking the hornet's nest that's noagendasocial.com. In my defense, they deserved it as they've got literal FSB agents posting there, and I was under the mistaken impression that Adam Curry still had a soul.

On the plus side, Adam Curry labeled me an official disappointment of his, so I guess every troll has its silver whining.

If you’re going to kick a hornet’s nest, kick a big one, eh?

Honestly, I didn't even know Adam Curry was still alive. I just remembered his hair from when I was 8 and watching him on MTV. This Russian troll had popped over here, found out his account was there (and much worse than I thought initially), so I looked up the admin because I was like, dude, if you're American and literally publishing war propaganda from a Russian FSB agent, someone should give you a heads up. Sent him a note about it and that's when things got fun. I honestly had no idea that the place had the rep it did, but damn, there's some dark alleys in the Fediverse.
