- The item must be made with sustainable or recycled materials.
- If electronic in some way, the item must be open-source.
- The item must be user-serviceable (if applicable).

I'd you have a local cobbler/shoemaker you might want to ask them. I would expect them to be able to tell you what to get if you want them to repair it.
