It's really the perfect "I don't need to self reflect" answer for libs. Why is Trump winning? Is it because Biden is unpopular? No! It's because the bad guys are doing it.

That's what libs hate about him. He's the perfect representation of their country, and deep down, they know it and hate it. But unlike socialists who actually want to do something to fix or change that, they don't think there are any options other than trying to vote for a representative that lets them keep their heads in the sand.
Exactly. They hate leftist critiques because they are salient. I think it's why they always end up punching left. Right wing critiques can be ignored because right wing ideology is transparently dogshit. Centrist liberalism is actually vulnerable to left criticism. And it makes them very upset.
