America murdered everyone on it by refusing to sell the Germans Helium in the past. I'm sure today it will just be corporate greed because Hydrogen is so much cheaper. Same outcome. Get a picture on Wikipedia forever. Win win.
I see a lot of people shitting on the US on Lemmy. But this is the first time I've seen someone shitting on the US for refusing to sell a military resource to Adolf Hitler.

There are a lot of legitimate things to hate about the US. It's really fucking weird that this guy took it so far that he's siding with Nazi Germany lol. Tankies don't even do that.
I hate america because of the racism, bigotry and predujice and the fact that some americans are also just plain toxic and / or have a holier-than-thou attitude towards people from different countries

Idk what that has to do with you claiming that the US murdered people by refusing to sell military resources to Nazi Germany. I have a feeling I don't even give a shit where you're coming from so I'm not even going to address it
Just to connect the dots for you, the US refused to sell Helium to Germany because of war sanctions. A beloved tool of the USA much more powerful today with global banking and the SWIFT network. Even though it was a civilian application, there were obviously some military uses and therefore blocked. That directly led to the deaths of everyone.
The SR71 is built out of titanium. The only supplier of titanium was the USSR. The USSR had sanctions against the USA for the same reasons. The US built fraudulent companies, forged paperwork and entire companies. They smuggled and stole and evaded the sanctions to get enough titanium to build the SR71.
Any US history about the SR71 tells it like a hero's tale. Having to outwit the bad guy for the greater good of the country.
Today, any nation that doesn't play ball with the US is blocked from global trade even if it means millions of deaths. Evasion of those sanctions by third parties is treated just as badly. And they get put on lists. The US is all about sanctions to control and talks about global law and order when it benefits them. But when they don't benefit from the sanctions, they have zero shame to evade them and brag about it.
There's a lot more, but that's a cursory look. If you've never ready the story of the SR71 acquisitions, it is an interesting read no matter what you think of the politics.
And what does any of that have to do with you calling the US murderers for refusing to sell helium to the Nazis?
CIA sourced it same as ruzzia today do for things that they’re sanctioned on. Lots of shell companies. But you’re just moving goal posts instead of defending your support for supplying hitler. Also, hydrogen is much more prevalent than helium
You'd only get the same outcome from using a balloon made out of thermite. If it's just hydrogen, a leak would flare (if ignited), but it wouldn't explode until enough oxygen mixes in with the hydrogen (again, if ignited). And something like a nitrogen tank being used to displace the lost hydrogen would prevent that from happening. The main thing would be getting to the ground before buoyancy is lost, but that would also be the case for a breached helium zeppelin.
