That's what .world is for - it's a containment instance that is slowly defederating from everyone else. Soon the ledditors will have their own little walled garden where they can narwal the bacon at midnight or whatever the fuck 😒

I actually just defedded myself from Lemmy.world after being reminded they're doing some shit with Facebook andthe got rid of their largest piracy community. They can keep .world, most of the shittiest takes came from there (but don't worry i haven't forgotten about you guys .dbzer0 and .reddthat, you're cesspits too) The absolute last straw was somebody from .world replying to me unironically with "who hurt you?"

while specifically being defederated by meta would be peak, i don't think it's worth the risk of having facebook users coming into spaces that are meant for trans people.
