Nothing like a corrupted cloud save bricking a video game because you are not allowed to see your cloud saves and delete them when there's a problem... or when you just want to start a fresh play through.
Steams cloud save system is probably the worst one out there I dnow why it's so half assed. All the console platforms let me manage online backups so why doesn't steam?
Epic Games cloud saves have gotten messed up on me multiple times. It basically reset the game by not recognizing the cloud salves, had to rename a folder in the save dir.
Other pc launchers like epic, uplay, ea shit, I just assume they don't have cloud saves and always make a manual backup. Been burnt by those way too many times. EA app specifically i found out hadn't been syncing any saves at all even though it was turned on
Most games let you delete cloud saves. When I delete a local save file in most games, it will sync and remove that game file. This game was not designed for multiple game files so there's no way to tell it to delete the file because the space that the saves are stored is immutable.
