Charges dropped by district attorney due to the case not having enough compelling evidence to secure a conviction. Not exactly cleared, the prosecutor just didn't think they could secure a conviction.
That's not how it works...
In the course of all this, a lot of other shit came out that's more than enough for him to lose his jobs over.
Legally
But not being proven guilty doesn't mean someone was proven innocent, especially if a trial never happened.
Obligatory: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHhG9DbHbW0
Hell, OJ beat a trial, do you think that proved he didn't kill his wife?
Just because he was not proven guilty doesn't mean everyone is legally required to just ignore all the very real evidence that was released of him being an actual internet predator/pedophile. Generally companies tend to shy away from being associated with that sort of thing.
And the world collectively accepts that fact.
The majority, yes.
Oh no! My feelings! /s
Are you butthurt Dick and Cortny are gonna have different voices or something? If it was any regular dude with all this shit coming out I bet you'd be like "don't do stupid shit then". But sense this dude made a show you like you're okay with turning a blind eye.
It's entirely possible. However I am 100% certain the network would probably just cancel the show entirely before they let Justin Roiland back on the payroll.
He hasn't contributed to the writing since like season 2 or 3. I think it will probably be fine with a different voice actor
It's pretty well documented at this point that Roiland didn't even like doing the show anymore, and was basically just showing up for a paycheck by the later seasons.
Getting someone else who actually wants to be there and still loves the the show and the work it takes to make it will probably be better for everyone in my opinion.
Why? He hasn't actually been a significant part of it for several years now.
so you’re cool with anyone that hasn’t been convicted of a crime?
So Henry Kissinger and you just chit chat about cluster bombs in Cambodia.
I doubt they even know who that is.
Everytime Kissinger is mentioned I have to think of this Anthony Bourdain quote:
"Once you’ve been to Cambodia, you’ll never stop wanting to beat Henry Kissinger to death with your bare hands. You will never again be able to open a newspaper and read about that treacherous, prevaricating, murderous scumbag sitting down for a nice chat with Charlie Rose or attending some black-tie affair for a new glossy magazine without choking. Witness what Henry did in Cambodia – the fruits of his genius for statesmanship – and you will never understand why he’s not sitting in the dock at The Hague next to Milošević."
Bourdain is dead and that shit stain Kissinger is now over 100 years old. The world is not fair.
Sorry, man. I don't know thing one but this crowd here, they KNOW things, they have LISTS of names, they got their own personal CONVICTION. Looks like Reddit has arrived. (I don't have proof of that, but I saw a video about a guy who read a post and ...)
There are plenty of screenshots, and more importantly recordings online of Roiland actually saying these things offhandedly like they're just funny jokes for his podcasts. You can hear the other people there with him getting more and more uncomfortable. It's not something I just pulled out of my ass, if you spend 30 seconds searching you can easily find all of this
In a court of law yes. A show casting is not a court of law. Its a court of public opinion.
