Exactly. The process of cooking does convert it. Vaporizing as well. Vaporizing gets the THCa hot enough to convert into THC then hot enough to vaporize it. You can actually use the leftovers from vaping flower to make edibles, or even just eat it with something fatty if you don't have too weak a stomach.
