A community for discussing events around the World
Rules:
-
Rule 1: posts have the following requirements:
- Post news articles only
- Video links are NOT articles and will be removed.
- Title must match the article headline
- Not United States Internal News
- Recent (Past 30 Days)
- Screenshots/links to other social media sites (Twitter/X/Facebook/Youtube/reddit, etc.) are explicitly forbidden, as are link shorteners.
-
Rule 2: Do not copy the entire article into your post. The key points in 1-2 paragraphs is allowed (even encouraged!), but large segments of articles posted in the body will result in the post being removed. If you have to stop and think "Is this fair use?", it probably isn't. Archive links, especially the ones created on link submission, are absolutely allowed but those that avoid paywalls are not.
-
Rule 3: Opinions articles, or Articles based on misinformation/propaganda may be removed. Sources that have a Low or Very Low factual reporting rating or MBFC Credibility Rating may be removed.
-
Rule 4: Posts or comments that are homophobic, transphobic, racist, sexist, anti-religious, or ableist will be removed. “Ironic” prejudice is just prejudiced.
-
Posts and comments must abide by the lemmy.world terms of service UPDATED AS OF 10/19
-
Rule 5: Keep it civil. It's OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It's NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
-
Rule 6: Memes, spam, other low effort posting, reposts, misinformation, advocating violence, off-topic, trolling, offensive, regarding the moderators or meta in content may be removed at any time.
-
Rule 7: We didn't USED to need a rule about how many posts one could make in a day, then someone posted NINETEEN articles in a single day. Not comments, FULL ARTICLES. If you're posting more than say, 10 or so, consider going outside and touching grass. We reserve the right to limit over-posting so a single user does not dominate the front page.
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

For Firefox users, there is media bias / propaganda / fact check plugin.

- Consider including the article’s mediabiasfactcheck.com/ link
NSFW, but the next obvious thing to do is...
https://www.xnxx.com/search/Josephine+Jackson
Thanks, I will go out of my way to avoid this link once I get home.
She's apparently on Reddit too: https://old.reddit.com/user/Josephine_jackson/ Gotta give her some credit for going mostly without or just very light make-up too.
Thanks for posting this so I can block the site.
I'll be over later tonight and we can help each other block the site. I'm tired of sitting on my left hand before blocking all these sites.
Sure thing , I already looked up her up on google image search so I can recognize her so I know which sites to block.

Thus I am concluding you are pro Russian and taking all opportunities to block all porn starring Ukranians. Which will be basically every site on the internet. A pity, since you seem to like it a lot.
Did it occur to you that it might be a satirical comment?
Not after reading their comment history.
lol what?
That comment was about how porn addiction is not a real addiction but people who have porn issues have more issues with their religious beliefs than they do with porn.
I love it. Keep downvoting, people are weird
Porn addiction definitely is a real addiction seeing as there are plenty of non-religious people and people of various religions who prefer to actually be able to live their life rather than be horny all the time.
I think being horny all the time is part of the human condition.
Not for many people
There are always exceptions for sure.
If there are tens of millions of exceptions I wouldn't call it part of the human condition
Yeah wtf? That's the explanation and some people are up voting it?
No it’s not. I am not an expert, but porn addiction is not a recognized diagnosis. According to research the main thing people with so called porn addiction share is a feeling that the behavior they are engaging in js immoral or unhealthy. The morality conflict is in the mind is the issue.
Masturbation is healthy and good for the body. To solve the morality issue either stop masturbating or accept your behavior.
Basically, as I understand it. Porn addiction is not a real addiction because there is no correlation between the amount of porn consumed and the feeling that one is addicted.
But there is a correlation between people who feel they have porn addiction and the amount of religiosity they have or believe in, regardless of the amount of porn they consume.
It’s a difficult subject to talk about because of the strong feelings and morality issues that people feel are real.
But (edited: respect to) your religion. Masturbation is healthy and good, and porn is not going anywhere regardless of how you or your religion feel about it morally. Porn addiction is a made up thing by people who feel bad about masturbating.
The DSM doesn't determine the truth. It is just an arbitrary grouping of symptoms in a book.
Unhealthy doesn't mean just physically. Porn can definitely be mentally unhealthy.
Water is healthy and good for the body, drowning is not.
What? How does that not make something an addiction. First of all, because someone could have misconceptions about how much others consume, someone could think wanting to eat a candy bar every day makes them addicted to sugar, while someone else could crave and drink 3 2Ls a day and think they're not addicted. And second, yeah, because addiction is based not on quantity but on impact. Someone could be healthy and drink a few glasses of wine every day, someone else could be unemployed and pawn their child's bed to buy wine to drink those few glasses. One of those at least indicates an addiction.
Again, there are a not of non-religious people who feel they are addicted to porn.
I am a gay agnostic. I prefer to spend time with my partner rather than waiting for him to fall asleep and looking at porn. I prefer to spend time with my parents when I visit them rather than staying in bed for hours after I wake up looking at porn.
