The trans community picked up as its mascot since the colours of it, the blue shark with the pink mouth and white teeth, resemble the colours of the trans flag if I know correctly.
And they are also pretty cute.
Also Blahåjar were in pro-gay-marriage-ads by ikea
Because Ikea pushed it, because the trans community liked it. It's now a vicious circle, but for once a good one.
