Standing by and watching a genocide take place isn’t all that admirable in my opinion.

Yeah but getting involved means being bombed to hell by NATO, so governments are not keen on that. Even indirect involvement like the Yemeni blockade effected in this. In case of Iran it might even spark a world war.
