Been thinking about this after someone posted a video to this community for the first time

Post only images. No gifs, videos or articles.

This is one of the rules stickied to the top of the community. But it's only there because at the time of creating traditional_art I looked to r/art for guideline inspiration and took it from there without further thought.

It only makes sense to have rules that are voted on by the rest of the community. So what do you guys think? Should users be able to post videos? (and gifs and articles to that extent about art instead of merely being restricted to images?)

I think that videos should be allowed.

First of all there is traditional animation, which has been being made for over 100 years and i would very much consider to be traditional art.

Second, I feel that videos are an important aspect of speaking about art, whether it is in the form of documentary, or a time lapse of painting a work.

In a subreddit like r/art where moderation requirements have to be very strict, it makes sense to only allow images, but in a small community like this, i feel like there's room to allow a broader range of content related to traditional art, so long as it's moderated correctly.
