Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.
Example:
- Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
- Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
- No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.
That's all the rules!

Not an ounce of sympathy. He’s an awful human and has done immeasurable harm.
Can’t believe our taxes are going to this dude just to keep him alive. Term limits should absolutely be a thing.
oh i don’t have an ounce of sympathy for the man, but it’s also very disappointing in the state of humanity to see how many people are making fun of him, given the fact that many of those same folks were upset at the reactions the right had about fetterman.
like, no sympathy is required, but if the community could maybe not stoop down to the level of the people we say we can’t stand, that’d be great
not that you did that, but it’s definitely a trend i’m seeing
The man actively benefits from the suffering of others. Fuck that guy. Malfunctioning Mitch could tumble down the steps of the DC metro, and I'd make the footage my fucking screensaver.
Nah, fuck that dude, he doesn’t deserve anyone’s sympathy. As for “the state of humanity”, people have always made fun of each other, so not sure what you’re getting at there.
I honestly think he’s arguing in good faith tbh, but that doesn’t make his points any stronger.
Well Mitch is an evil person and Wayne isn’t. So your attempt to bothside this is laughable.
Fetterman wasn't dying. He had something treatable and returned to congress once his treatment was complete as competent as ever.
This is a death rattle. He's not coming back from this.
If you want to make a comparison to the Democrats, the comparison is Feinstein. And that's just as egregious. Both of them need to be out of congress now.
Unfortunately Fetterman isn't really a good comparison. Fetterman hasn't caused near as much devastating harm to as many people as McConnell has. Please find someone on the left that has hurt as many people in as many ways as Mitch...
No, I am not going to wait...
it doesn’t have to be an equal comparison, the point that matters is this:
if you hated the assholes that were being assholes during fetterman, don’t be an asshole now, even if the person you’re being an asshole to isn’t worth pissing on to put out if they were on fire.
have some class
He's also had plenty of opportunity to retire. In any other field someone his age would have retired long ago. But it's been his choice to run again in every election and keep his iron death grip on the country, knowingly doing as much harm as he personally can to the political process and to the American people. (And yes, fuck the people who keep voting for him, but I also don't think it's quite that simple.)
So yeah, it sucks to wish harm on people in general. But there's a million caveats to that when it's a truly evil person, and when he's had every chance to retire. I mean, isn't that conservatives' whole thing, "personal responsibility"? It's been his choice to keep doing what he's doing until he becomes physically or mentally incapable. After watching Feinstein continue to make decisions that affect the US when she doesn't even know her own name, of course people can't wait to see McConnell gtfo, no matter how it happens.
