Been thinking about this after someone posted a video to this community for the first time

Post only images. No gifs, videos or articles.

This is one of the rules stickied to the top of the community. But it's only there because at the time of creating traditional_art I looked to r/art for guideline inspiration and took it from there without further thought.

It only makes sense to have rules that are voted on by the rest of the community. So what do you guys think? Should users be able to post videos? (and gifs and articles to that extent about art instead of merely being restricted to images?)

FWIW, I came here wondering if I could post an article.

Film is definitely a traditional medium in terms of the rules on the sidebar, so I don't see why it wouldn't be allowed.

Articles are different. That's an entirely separate discussion imo. Do you want to include news and discussions about art topics or just posts about specific pieces?
