I'm not trans but this matches a lot of what I've seen with people I know. My brother is trans (FtM) and has experienced a lot of taunting even before coming out as trans, in fact ironically it was the bullying for his masculine aspects which made him grasp he was trans. Recently he got banned from the LGBT capital of the internet and I have become convinced by him and talking about him that it was covert discrimination, and it has thrown him into a state of being so afraid of being judged for it he's now lowkey agoraphobic. Another person I know was disowned for it and a third person, an author I idolize whose invited me into her social circle, has given up on clarifying herself and I'm always explaining things to other people.
