What Were You Wearing is a terrible name for a survivor advocacy group. Why would you pick a name that is a big trigger for a lot of people?
I think the point is to remove some of the stigma around sexual assault by reclaiming the clothing and showcasing that this kind of thing can happen to any woman, anywhere. The founder ran an exhibit with all kinds of different clothing submitted by survivors of sexual assault, alongside their stories.
I think it was a brilliant name for that exhibit, but not for the name of the organisation
