Tesla is a giant shell-game masquerading as a car company. The important thing about Tesla isn't its cars, it's Tesla's business arrangement, the Tesla-Financial Complex:

The only mention of half range did specify winter conditions.

The Korean regulator found that the true range of Teslas under normal winter conditions was less than half of the claimed range.
