Maybe it's just me, but all I see in most communites for my games on Steam are memes, troll images, fan service, and other Internet stuff.

Is any of this normal?

Depends on what you mean by "normal". If you create a space with no community or moderation, yeah, it's normal for that to be how it ends up.
