I've actually seen flat-Earthers make the claim that if Earth was round then buildings would have to be constructed with a built-in curve.
Really long buildings (bridges) actually do
Those questions/claims are really interesting as like... A way to teach children how to think about scale and approximation and stuff.
Adults holding those beliefs both a) sincerely and b) defensively though... Less cute.
On the other hand the engineers building the CERN had to include a system that compensate for the land tides due to the moon and sun gravity.
