This is the place for discussing the potential collapse of modern civilization and the environment.
Collapse, in this context, refers to the significant loss of an established level or complexity towards a much simpler state. It can occur differently within many areas, orderly or chaotically, and be willing or unwilling. It does not necessarily imply human extinction or a singular, global event. Although, the longer the duration, the more it resembles a ‘decline’ instead of collapse.

I really like their focus on systemic change and focus on long term perspective. If we could transform society to prioritize the big picture we'd all be much better off.
If only there was some sort of...pro-...social?...system that prioritized the long-term good of all over the short-term large-scale gain of an entitled few. Ah, I'm sure it'll come to me eventually. Felt like I almost had it...
