When you go on the Internet, nine times out of ten all you'll get is idiots telling you "install arch noob" (they've been running linux for all of six months), "it works here" (different environment altogether), "you should redo all of your project with instead" (sure, let's spend three months redoing everything)...

So the documentation is typically a safer bet. Not always, but often.
