I am glad a few people like you remember how shit it was. I just think its funny all the kids think that Netflix only turned cur on us now. Its like sweet summer child. They only did the stuff they did because it kept them relevant. Now that they have to actually compete we see how they really are. The account sharing era fooled people but I have a long memory for tech.
Ikr, shit was basically never good. Also I cannot BELIEVE people accepted them nixing account sharing, that was a huge bonus to the service before they killed it lol
The profit mode of capitalism aways shows its true colors when you are not the only shop in town. Notice how rumors about them removing account sharing started when major IP holders got done making their own platforms.

I cancelled Netflix the same day they blocked my partner's parents from watching it in Canada. We hardly ever used it and I only kept it because her parents are old and had a tv with a Netflix button.
My partner and I still watch netflix shows from time to time... we just don't pay for them anymore.
